How Can You Support an Eye Camp?
You can become a community partner or sponsor by organizing an eye camp in collaboration with us. Whether you are an individual, a social service organization, a trust, or a corporate entity, your support can help us reach those who are unable to access basic eye care.
Who Can Sponsor an Eye Camp?
- Social Service Organizations: Lions, Rotary Clubs, NGOs, and religious groups
- Businesses and Trusts: Corporations, industries, and banks looking to give back to the community
- Local Leaders: Village presidents, farmers associations, welfare clubs, and schools
Anyone with a desire to uplift their community can be part of this life-changing initiative.
Your Role as a Sponsor
As a sponsor, your primary responsibility is to ensure the camp is set up and ready to serve. This includes:
- Choosing a Location: Ideally, the camp should be held in a village with 5,000 to 20,000 people, accessible within a 5 km radius. A school or community center makes for a convenient venue.
- Setting Up the Site: Ensure the venue has basic amenities such as electricity, furniture, and water. We’ll take care of the rest.
- Publicity and Outreach: Help us spread the word! Work with local media, community leaders, and volunteers to inform the community and ensure those in need know about the upcoming camp.
- Patient Assembly & Transport: Assist with organizing transportation for patients if needed, especially from remote villages.
- Lodging for the Medical Team: If the camp is held more than 125 km away from our base hospital, help us by arranging boarding and lodging for our medical team.
